Thank you Mr. R

This week our ward held the annual Father/Daughter camp-out at Folsom Lake. My kids have always wanted to go, but for some reason we could never quite get it arranged. Now that Richard is out of town we had a good excuse to use another dad as a fill in. My kids all agreed that Mario would be a great sub, so we asked and he happily accepted. Mario is a youngish, married, school teacher with no kids of his own and a great love for all people. He is the primary chorister (he stole my job) and kids just love him. It must be his ever-present, infectious smile. He was a perfect candidate because his own dad was going and taking his little sisters (one of whom is Maddie's good friend from YW). So it was kind of a father/son camp-out with 5 girls tagging along.
They had a great time. Mario prepared tin foil dinners and smores for dinner, they played games and hung out with their friends, they swam in the freezing cold lake and got really tired. Yeah!!
Thank you Mario for all of your hard work and care for my girls. You're awesome!!

Wow, we only have the father/son campout, which I am totally ok with. Cool that someone was willing to take your girls for you.
