Patriotic Program

This was the latest production written and directed by Maddie and starring the rest of the girls. They have been doing these shows for as long as Maddie has had little sisters to direct. Luckily they are all willing participants. Obviously, the genre of this show was Americana. They sang the Great American Melting Pot of School House Rock fame. It was another great success. All were happily entertained.

Hyrum City Rodeo

One of the great things we did in Hyrum was the rodeo. I like to take my kids whenever we get the chance just so they have this great experience. Best parts?--the bull riding and the carmel corn. Lauren, of course, loved the rock climbing that was set up there. Lauren got pretty far this time and Emma scaled the thing like it was a walk in the park. She's pretty tough if given the chance. Ellie like the rodeo princesses the best. Here she is pointing to the bee sting she got on her forehead during the rodeo. At least, we think it was a bee sting. It happened just as a bucking bronco kicked the fence right in front of us, so it could be a piece of shrapnel from the fence or something. She wasn't very happy about it.

New Tatts

So, how do you entertain yourself on a long drive? Perhaps next time you will consider drawing some new tattoos on your feet and hands. It was just the ticket for my kids for a portion of the time while we rocked out to some Styx and Go-Go's(2 of the 6 cd's I happened to have in the car). My kids are new Styx fans. Domo Aregato Dudes!!

Malia's Luau

Before we moved our neighbor, Malia, had an awesome luau birthday party where the kids were the entertainment. Malia's mom is a hula dancer and had been teaching all the neighborhood kids to bust a few hula moves. So, for Malia's party they entertained the parents and families who attended with their dancing skills. It was the cutest thing I'd seen in a while. Most enthusiatic dancer?--Manoah, Lauren's best friend. He's the one with the braids. Cutie!!

Memories

Okay, this seems to be going around right now. Looks like fun.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, just anything you remember.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game, so I'll come to your blog and leave one about you!

Computer Crash

I've been really excited to update my blog because so much has happened. So last Saturday we got everything in the office ready to hook up the computer and stuff, and. . . the computer wouldn't work. It looks like a crash. Richard took it in yesterday and they are going to try to fix it, or get our stuff off if it did crash. Dang. So, no pictures yet. sorry. I'll have a huge update at some point.

We're Here

Just wanted to let everyone (yes, both of you) know that we are here. All is well. So much has happened over the past few weeks. I have pictures which I will post later. I will give tons more detail. I am in the throws of unpacking boxes and organizing, and straightening. And while I'm missing my girls badly, I'm kinda glad they're not here. It's kinda nice to be able to do it all without the hulabaloo of 4 girls running around. I'll send out a mass email with my new address and phone numbers. I'm really waiting for my computer to be set up. It seems like it's taking forever for that to happen. I'm not sure why it's taking so long, but I realize how completely dependent I am on it. I'm kinda going through a withdrawl process and it's painful. I'll be hooked again soon and join the rest of society.
