Our Dino

Our President's Day was mostly filled with To Do List items. Richard and I got up and fixed the fence that blew down last month in the big wind storm, washed and vacuumed out my car, tidied up the back yard, weeded the flower gardens, and various other tasks around the house. But, we were left with not much to do when our chores were finished. After cries of, "I'm bored" I dug out this dinosaur puzzle that we've had stashed away for a couple years and we put it together. We were so proud of this little T-Rex you would have thought we had excavated it ourselves.
It was great because everyone had something they could do to help. Lauren and Emma found where all the pieces went on the boards and Ellie "sanded" when needed. Meanwhile Maddie, Richard and I put the thing together. Emma did some too, but Richard ended up finishing up when everyone else was about done. Then we had to play "Dino eat the Polly guy" and stuff like that for a while. It was great family fun.

It truly is a beauty! You should be proud; it looks like a ton of work. Where will you display him??

This guy is proudly displayed on top of the entertainment center in the front room for now. When we move he will truly become an artifact to be dug up in the landfill. Poor thing.
